Designed for a repeat client this yacht was developed to create a fast fun yacht that would provide memorable sailing and an enjoyable social environment. The sailing team have been together for many years and are good friends so the ability to sit around and share a few rums after sailing was an essentail part of the design brief.

A canting keel and lifting daggerboard provide the sailing performance, and the beautiful craftsmanship of Lloyd Stevenson Boatbuilders provide the very acceptable environment. The canting keel system was designed in-house by BWYD and cutom built in New Zealand. Twin opposed hydraulic rams have been utilised to create a very robust control system for the keel. Control is by PLC electronics and the yacht makes use of wireless technology for tab, keel control, sailing instruments, and computer tactical and navigation systems.

The yacht is cruising and offshore capable and is planning to takepart in the Pacific races from New Zealand as well as sailing to Australia for the various Whitsunday racing series and the Rolex series in Sydney.
